AES Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the IPL Relay/SCADA team and support protective relay and SCADA systems in substations (4kV-345kV) and power plants.

You will work with Relay/SCADA technicians, perform relay settings, and develop RTU/SCADA configurations, plus oversee commissioning.

Requirements: ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering and 2–5 years in protective relaying or SCADA; familiarity with DNP3/Modbus and SEL/GE relays preferred.

Mansioni

• Perform relay setting calculations and coordination studies
• Develop RTU/SCADA configurations
• Evaluation of relay performance following system events
• Oversee commissioning of new SCADA and relay equipment and systems
• Investigate and resolve protection and control system operation issues
• Support field staff in construction and maintenance activities
• Create or revise electrical substation control schemes and wiring diagrams (single-line, three-line, AC/DC schematics, SCADA, relay)
• Develop new and follow established work practices to ensure a safe work environment
