Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho is hiring a Protection Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The role requires 40 hours per week with a day shift rotation and benefits starting on day one, including medical, vision, dental, PTO and more. Daily Pay option is available along with a comprehensive security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in security or military preferred but not required.
• Must have active driving privileges.
• Notify HR if driving privileges change or are affected during employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secured environment in disasters, fires and/or bomb threats.
• Interact daily with the public regarding safety, visitor control, thefts, and any security problems that might arise.
• Confront strangers and direct them to the proper area or escort them off the medical center campus.
• Conducts package inspection and checks property leaving the facility for proper authorization.
• Report vulnerable situations, hazards, and/or equipment malfunctions to the proper department or persons for corrective action.
• Check employee and service personnel for proper I.D.
• Possibly restrain individuals for protection of all persons involved in a combative situation as needed.
• Operate motor vehicle, two-way radio, camera, and electronic surveillance equipment and demonstrate basic computer skills.

  Friday-Sunday 6am-6pm

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous security or military experience preferred but not required.
• Must have active driving privileges. If, during the course of employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR.

What You Will Do
