Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Protection & Controls Engineer to design, set, commission, and maintain protection schemes for large electrical infrastructures. You will own relay settings from interconnection to facility buses, and integrate with SCADA/RTUs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in protection and controls on medium- or high-voltage systems.
• 5+ years preferred in utility/EPc/data center settings.
• Hands-on with SEL relays and software; other vendors valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop protection philosophy and diagrams from utility interconnection to facility buses.
• Set, coordinate, and maintain relay settings for transmission, transformers, and storage.
• Specify relays, CT/VTs, trip circuits, and communication schemes.
• Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies; keep settings current.
• Commission protection systems; perform end-to-end tests and timing checks.
