Job summary

Vistra's Luminant Generation Company LLC is seeking a Protection and Control Supervisor to lead a team of P&C technicians across fossil generation. You will drive compliance, troubleshoot relays and metering, and oversee upgrades and capital projects to improve plant reliability.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent AS with extensive P&C experience) and 3–5 years of P&C experience, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS or AS in a relevant field with P&C experience or extensive practical P&C exposure.
• Experience guiding a team of technicians and coordinating with vendors.
• Knowledge of protective relaying, metering, and NERC fundamentals.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead P&C technicians and oversee field support for fossil generation.
• Ensure 24x7 protection and control services across sites and projects.
• Guide P&C upgrades, capital projects, and compliance with NERC standards.
• Develop staff, coordinate with Engineering and contractors, manage scope and budgets.
