Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified candidate to support the Prosthetic Treatment Center (PTC) within the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System. This role focuses on prosthetic/orthotic processes and patient services.

You will receive calls and visitors, determine eligibility for medical items or services, and assist with forms to obtain needed items and services. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-04 level.
• Education may substitute for the required experience as described.
• Combination of experience and education can qualify at GS-5 level.

Responsibilities

• Receive and direct calls and visitors.
• Determine visitor's eligibility and entitlement for medical items or services.
• Assist visitors with completion of forms or documents for medical items or services.
