Job summary

UNC Health Prosth & Orth @ ACC is seeking a Prosthetics and Orthotics Assistant to support clinical operations. You will assist with patient greetings, brace fitting, inventory control, and documentation, while helping staff and physicians coordinate care.

Role offers exposure to a blend of art, engineering and medicine, with opportunities to advance toward certified fitter or pedorthist as you progress in your career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certification in related health care discipline preferred (CPOA/ABC/BOC).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine functional intervention.
• Design, write specifications, and fit braces and appliances.
• Maintain inventory and manage supplies and documentation.
• Educate staff and serve as liaison with physicians and vendors.
