Job summary

The Surgical Clinic, Middle Tennessee’s premier multi-specialty surgical practice, seeks a Certified Prosthetic Assistant to support the Certified Prosthetist in patient care. You will assist with fabrication, repairs, and maintenance of prosthetic devices to ensure fit, function, and cosmesis.

Under indirect supervision, you will travel to other clinic locations as needed, manage patient data, and work within HIPAA guidelines while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver

Qualifications

• ABC-certified CPA is required and must be maintained.
• Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience as a Prosthetic Assistant.
• Completion of a recognized Prosthetic Assistant training program.
• Medical terminology related to vascular surgery.
• Interpersonal/human relations skills, including HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain power equipment per manufacturer instructions and company protocols.
• Mix plaster casts, vacuum form thermoplastic, cut/grind sockets, assemble prosthetics and repair devices.
• Support the prosthetist in managing patient care, including occasional travel to other clinics.
• File patient data and perform data entry, copying, faxing, emailing.
• Performing other duties as requested.
