Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a Server to join Prosperous Penny, our speakeasy where sophisticated décor, residential comfort, and a bold bar program come together to create a lively dining experience. This role is focused on creating memorable dining experiences by anticipating guest needs and delivering genuine hospitality.

Qualified candidates will have two years of luxury F&B experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Two years previous experience in a luxury Food and Beverage outlet.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task
• High level of understanding and knowledge of food and wine
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• The ability to carry and balance a tray with multiple items
• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

• Describe menu items with vivid origin, taste, and preparation notes to guests.
• Communicate orders to the kitchen via the POS system and coordinate timings.
• Check kitchen orders against guest orders and deliver to tables timely.
• Greet guests professionally and explain contents, anticipate needs, and offer suggestions.
• Close checks accurately and process cash/card payments.
• Break down, clean, and set up tables and buffets.

This role is responsible for creating memorable dining experiences by anticipating guest needs, delivering personalized service, and showcasing genuine hospitality. What you will do:

• Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.

• Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents. Anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.

• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.

• Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.

What you bring:
