The Collaborative in North Carolina seeks an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader to support growth of financial capability programs and expand access to resources. The role focuses on program development, coordinating trainings, and promoting best practices with the site supervisor.
This full-time position runs 08/10/2026–08/09/2027, requires some college, and serves communities across North Carolina, including low-income and underbanked populations, with a living allowance and education award options.
The Collaborative’s mission is to close the wealth gap in North Carolina by ensuring that everyone has a pathway to prosperity. The proposed VISTA project aligns with the Economic Opportunity focus area(s). The VISTA project will seek to expand access to financial empowerment resources and safe banking accounts and expects to benefit organizations who directly serve low wealth individuals and families, the low wealth citizens served by these organizations, and the communities in which we focus our efforts and expects to benefit the North Carolina communities served, specifically those with low-income, un/underbanked, justice involved, and those with housing and food insecurity, impacting more than 500 individuals.

Member Duties : The overarching goal of the VISTA Leader will center on supporting the growth of VISTA and financial capability programs through program development. Additional objectives include: 1- Coordinate three training sessions for the Prosperity for All VISTA cohort; 2-Promote skill-building, poverty-alleviating, and financial security knowledge among the members in the cohort; 3-Coordinate and execute VISTA check-ins and updates with site supervisor; 4-Provide assistance to Sponsor in promoting best practices and developing project resources; and 5- Support the development of VISTA expansion plan that enhances both site and VISTA recruitment.
