AmeriCorps VISTA seeks a service member to build sustainable partnerships and strengthen community collaboration in Tennessee. You will identify service gaps, expand the recovery workforce, and develop systems to improve access to prevention, recovery, diversion, and resources for underserved communities.

Job description

The VISTA member will build sustainable partnerships, strengthen community collaboration, identify service gaps, increase volunteer engagement, expand recovery workforce development, and develop systems that improve access to prevention, recovery, diversion, and community resources. Through these efforts, the VISTA will help create sustainable infrastructure that remains in place long after the member's service year.

Member Duties :

The day-to-day focus will be on strengthening and maintaining relationships with community partners across healthcare, behavioral health, workforce, education, justice, faith-based, and other community organizations. This includes regularly checking in with partners, following up on referrals and collaboration opportunities, staying engaged with the Tennessee Department of Health Community Health Navigator, and maintaining Align9’s involvement with the Morgan County Abatement Team and other community coalitions. I will also work on developing and updating referral pathways, partnership resources, and communication systems while documenting outreach, follow-ups, and opportunities to improve coordination and access to services.
