Job summary

Facing History & Ourselves seeks a Prospect Researcher to identify and analyze donor information, building informed engagement strategies for the Development team. You will deliver research products, perform risk assessments, and support donor pipeline growth with actionable insights.

The role focuses on high-quality donor profiles, wealth screening, and synthesis for leadership. Remote-based with occasional travel; immediate start preferred, exempt full-time position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct experience in prospect research with proven results.
• Experience with both individual and institutional research.
• Proficiency with prospect research tools (iWave, LexisNexis, Foundation Directory Online, GrantWatch, RelationshipScience) and CRM systems; Salesforce a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce a standardized menu of research products for leadership and teams.
• Research individual and institutional prospects to map relationships and giving capacity.
• Conduct due diligence and risk assessment to protect gift acceptance policies.
• Partner with event leads to optimize guest lists for fundraisers.
• Synthesize information into concise summaries for leadership and board bios.
• Transition raw wealth data into qualified screening.
• Collaborate with Institutional Partnerships and grant writing team.
