Job summary

Mach Industries is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineer to plan, execute, and analyze propulsion and energetic systems for defense applications. You will work on propulsion hardware, test infrastructure, and data-driven campaigns bridging design and flight to ensure reliable performance under extreme conditions.

The role requires hands-on testing, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to read complex drawings. Expect extended hours and travel during active campaigns.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in propulsion, aerospace, automotive, industrial testing, mechanical development, or related technical environments.
• Experience with mechanical assemblies, fluid systems, pressure systems, or propulsion hardware.
• Experience supporting test operations, troubleshooting, and rapid hardware iteration in development environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, assembly instructions, and test procedures.
• Hands-on experience with shop equipment, torque tools, tubing tools, pressure equipment, and diagnostic instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain propulsion test stands and ground support systems for static fire and development testing.
• Lead and support test campaigns from component-level testing to full-scale hot-fire operations.
• Use high-speed sensors and instrumentation to collect and analyze pressure, temperature, and thrust data.
• Ensure safety compliance and operational discipline during hazardous operations with LOX and cryogenic propellants.
