Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Supplier Management Team Technical Lead for the Aerojet Subcontract, located at SDS HQ in Roy, UT, with potential placements in Manhattan Beach or Huntsville.

The role leads a cross-functional engineering team, aligns supplier activities with the program baseline, and manages technical risk and performance while traveling up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in STEM with extensive related engineering experience.
• Willing and able to travel 50% or more between Roy, Huntsville, Manhattan Beach and other locations.
• 5 years design and manufacturing experience in liquid propulsion systems.
• Experience with aerospace electronic systems, communications systems, and/or liquid propulsion systems.
• Experience with systems engineering lifecycle from requirements to acceptance testing.
• Experience managing a technical baseline and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) with ability to obtain Top Secret; SAP/PAR access is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Aerojet SMT technical oversight as the main engineering point of contact for the program.
• Align supplier technical activities with the program baseline and verify deliverables.
• Travel up to 50% to interface with leadership, customers, and milestones.
• Develop SSOW and collaborate with stakeholders for proposals (RFIs/RFPs).
• Evaluate supplier technical content and support negotiations.
• Review and approve technical subcontractor deliverables with SMEs guidance.
• Track technical goals, risks, and mitigations to ensure quality execution.
