Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) seeks a Main Propulsion Systems Engineer to join a highly integrated team supporting propulsion and launch vehicle integration. You will develop models, perform analyses, and contribute to trade studies, hazards assessments, and certification activities for flight hardware.

The role requires an engineering degree (ABET-accredited preferred) and 0–10 years of experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• BS in Engineering preferred.
• 0-10 years’ experience.
• US Citizenship with STAR ID.
• Experience with liquid propulsion system design and engine integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop models and analysis tools with supporting documentation.
• Provide insights for propulsion subsystem and model fidelity.
• Evaluate performance of system models in test and flight.
• Participate in design reviews and planning meetings.
• Perform system assessments and document resolutions.
• Support risk management and RID disposition.
• Conduct post-test data analysis of propulsion performance.
