Craig Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Propulsion Plumbing Design and Fabrication Engineer to support the design, CAD routing, fabrication, and assembly of propulsion system plumbing for ground and flight hardware.

You will generate plumbing layouts and detailed manufacturing drawings using CAD tools, and assist in clean-room assembly, welding, and readiness activities for high-reliability spacecraft propulsion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Direct CAD-based mechanical design, fluid routing, and detailing experience.
• Familiarity with high-pressure fluid or propulsion systems.
• Experience with orbital tube welding processes or inspection.

Responsibilities

• Design and route propulsion plumbing including high-pressure tubing and interfaces.
• Generate CAD models and manufacturing drawings for flight hardware.
• Develop welding fixtures and participate in clean-room assembly processes.
• Provide engineering oversight of fabrication and assembly for propulsion hardware.
• Assist with assembly, leak checks, pressure testing, and integration.
• Evaluate fluid lines for thermal insulation and routing to prevent freezing.
• Support anomaly investigations and material compatibility reviews.
• Contribute to propulsion system builds and test setups.
• Other duties as assigned.
