Job summary

Ursa Major seeks an experienced Staff Loads and Dynamics Analysis Engineer to lead load development for propulsion systems and to advance structural dynamics and GFEM/GNC analyses. You will mentor peers, verify models, and collaborate with test teams to anchor analyses to ground truth.

The role involves supporting new engine platforms, assessing nonconforming hardware, and potentially expanding into engine stress analysis within a multi-disciplinary team reporting to the Propulsion Analysis Team

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace engineering (or comparable field).
• 8+ years of experience performing L&D analysis.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Expertise in dynamic analysis methods (structural dynamics, dynamic loads, acoustics, modal, random vibration, shock).
• Experience anchoring analytical models to physical testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform loads development for vehicles and engine programs.
• Lead load spectrum development for service life assessment.
• Perform vehicle dynamics analysis.
• Verify and validate models.
• Coordinate with test team to anchor analytical models.
