Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Engine Integration Tech Lead to mature the BE-7 Lunar Lander Engine to meet customer requirements and mission parameters. You will lead a team of propulsion engineers across design, integration, and testing to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, risk management, and collaboration, with a focus on producibility, material selection, and meeting program milestones in a safety-conscious culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years proven experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle component/assembly design, manufacturing, and test.
• Strong mechanical design skills, including structural sizing/analysis/calculations.
• Advanced CAD and large assembly model management and configuration (Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM preferred).
• Mastery of GD&T implementation and stack up analysis (ASME Y14.5).
• Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, treatments and manufacturing.
• B.S. degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Strong knowledge of configuration management and how it pertains to supporting both development and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead propulsion engineers to provide technical solutions for rocket engine integration and design while maintaining a release schedule that meets BE-7 program milestones and owning technical risk.
• Own technical releases and drive producibility while balancing mass and cost across engine configurations.
• Mentor, train, and collaborate with peers on engine variant design and component performance troubleshooting.
