Job summary

AscendArc, Inc. is seeking a Propulsion Engineering Lead to own the end-to-end propulsion subsystem for a GEO satellite platform.

You will work on electric propulsion, xenon feed, PPU integration, and drive supplier selection, testing, and verification from architecture through in-orbit results. This role requires 8+ years in spacecraft propulsion, a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, and the ability to translate models into flight hardware under export-control constraints.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of spacecraft propulsion experience.
  • Direct experience with electric propulsion (Hall-effect) and xenon feed systems.
  • Proven ownership of propulsion verification and test planning.
  • Familiar with EOR and station-keeping delta-V analyses for GEO missions.
  • Experience driving propulsion supplier selection and procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end propulsion performance from architecture to in-orbit results.
  • Define test requirements and supervise system-level test execution.
  • Collaborate with Structures, GNC, Power, and mission operations teams.
  • Support propulsion safety considerations and procurement activities.
