Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking an IPMP IV Concept Studies and Analysis Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of engineers in uprated propulsion plant design. You will oversee concept studies, define electrical plant architecture, size major electrical equipment, and develop instrumentation and control architectures.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of post-graduate electrical engineering experience, and an active Secret clearance.

• Strong project management skills and scheduling discipline.
• Experience with MS Project, EVMS, Artemis and commitment tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of propulsion plant arrangements and electrical plant architecture.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-discipline integration.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and milestones with PM best practices.
• Ensure technical accuracy, first-time quality, and alignment with cost objectives.
• Present technical content at program and design reviews.
• Coordinate with shipyard organizations, program offices, customers and vendors.
