Job summary

Venus Aerospace in Houston, TX is seeking a Deputy Program Manager for Propulsion Development to lead propulsion programs with manufacturing, engineering, test, and supply chain teams. You will own requirements, schedules, and budgets to deliver high-performance, manufacturable propulsion systems in a fast-paced startup environment.

This role requires U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; on-site in Houston with a comprehensive package including 401(k), stock options,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills, including preparation of CDRLs and technical data packages.
• 15+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or national security programs.
• 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager in aerospace.
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Program leadership to align Venus business plan with technology roadmap.
• Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance from design through manufacturing, integration, test, and deployment.
• Translate mission needs into product requirements and guide design reviews.
• Oversee manufacturing readiness, supply chain alignment, and test planning.
• Lead program reviews, present technical and schedule briefings, and manage customer relationships.
• Identify risks early and develop mitigation plans to maintain schedule fidelity.
