Job summary

Venus Aerospace is seeking a Deputy Program Manager for Propulsion Development to lead and coordinate propulsion programs across manufacturing, engineering, test, purchasing, and sales. You will own requirements, schedules, and budgets, delivering high-performance propulsion systems in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requires a strong aerospace background, 15+ years in the field and 5+ years in program management, plus US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• 15+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or national security programs.
• 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager in aerospace.
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Proven track record of excellence managing complex, multi-disciplinary programs to cost and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide program leadership aligning Venus business plan and technology roadmap.
• Deconflict resources and manage cost, schedule, and performance from design through manufacturing, integration, test, and deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and test to translate mission needs into requirements and manage changes.
• Lead customer engagements, present schedule briefings, and negotiate requirements with stakeholders.
• Identify risks early and develop mitigation plans to maintain schedule fidelity.
• Lead proposal efforts and contract negotiations ensuring technical feasibility and FAR/DFARS compliance.
