Job summary
A pioneering aerospace startup located in Los Angeles is seeking a talented individual to design propulsion systems for ground-breaking spacecraft. This role involves the entire lifecycle of mechanical designs, ensuring prototypes meet high-performance standards. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the production of some of the most advanced satellite technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience with mechanical and/or electromechanical design and analysis.
Experience with the practical application of GD&T.
Demonstrated proficiency in the principles of mechanical design, materials, thermodynamics, and fluids.
Ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
Responsibilities
Own the mechanical design of propulsion system subassemblies.
Validate designs from concept to production through successful flight demonstrations.
Generate 3D models and dimensioned drawings.
Perform analysis on data from testing hardware.
Develop and execute component and system‑level test plans.
Manage key propulsion vendors and suppliers.
Refine sub‑system deliverable schedules throughout development.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or other relevant engineering discipline
