McFarland Johnson in Concord, NH is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our Marketing team. You will lead proposals from kickoff to submission, coordinating with project managers and technical staff to craft compelling, compliant content.

This role emphasizes content creation, graphic design, and presenting materials for interviews and client meetings. You will also manage CRM data, support business development, and explore AI tools to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• 1–5 years in a proposal development role.
• Experience in Architecture/Engineering/Construction or professional consulting is a plus.
• Exceptional writing, proofreading, and verbal communication abilities.
• Skilled in InDesign and PowerPoint; familiarity with AI tools and Adobe Creative Suite; MS Office and CRM/database management preferred.
• Strong time management, ability to handle multiple deadlines and ensure quality while adhering to MJ's style guide and client requirements.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team to see projects through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Proposal Development and Management: Oversee the proposal process from start to finish, coordinating with project managers and staff.
• Research and Content Creation: Write, edit, design, and produce proposals, qualification packages, and award submissions.
• Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics to convey complex ideas.
• Presentation Development: Build PowerPoint presentations for interviews, meetings, and conferences.
• Database Management: Maintain CRM/database information with Marketing.
• General Support: Assist with administrative and business development tasks.
• AI Utilization: Implement and explore AI applications to improve quality and efficiency.
