McFarland Johnson (MJ) is seeking a Proposal Specialist in Concord, NH. You will develop and manage compelling proposals, assist with qualifications and awards, and design visuals to communicate complex ideas.

You’ll collaborate with project teams, leverage AI tools, and support business development across the Marketing group. The role requires 1–5 years in proposal development; strong writing and PowerPoint/InDesign skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing or related field preferred.
• 1–5 years in a proposal development role.
• Experience in Architecture/Engineering/Construction or consulting is a plus.
• Exceptional writing, proofreading and verbal communication.
• Proficient with InDesign, PowerPoint; familiar with AI tools and Adobe CS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage compliant proposals with project managers and staff.
• Research, write, edit, design, and produce proposals, qualifications, and awards.
• Create graphics to simplify complex ideas for proposals.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations for interviews and meetings.
• Maintain CRM database and assist with business development tasks.
• Collaborate on AI applications to improve quality and efficiency.
