Job summary

Moog seeks a Proposal Program Manager - Technical Writer to draft and refine high-quality technical proposals for the Defense Division. You will translate engineering concepts into clear narratives, ensuring consistency with branding and security standards, while coordinating with SMEs and stakeholders.

The role requires at least five years’ related experience, a technical degree, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

• Strong attention to detail, consistency, and adherence to style guides.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple prioritized projects under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Dynamics 365/CRM also desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to gather information from technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities under tight timelines

Responsibilities

• Research, draft, edit, and finalize technical proposal volumes for Moog technologies and products for the Defense Division of Moog SDG.
• Translate complex technical, engineering, and programmatic information from SMEs into clear narratives that demonstrate how Moog technology can be deployed to solve a problem or protect the warfighter.
• Maintain consistency in tone, formatting, terminology, and process adherence when creating a technical proposal.
• Manage multiple concurrent writing assignments under tight, quick-turn deadlines while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and applicability.
• Ensure compliance with company branding, legal, and security guidelines.

Moog’s Defense Sector has an exciting opportunity for a Proposal Program Manager - Technical Writer! The position will have a hybrid work schedule in East Aurora, NY. We’re looking for a Proposal Program Manager - Technical Writer to join our team to produce clear, concise, high-quality documentation that attracts end users and stakeholders to understand and implement our products and services. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, SMEs, and customers to translate complex technical concepts into proposal content that expands our technical footprint in new and growing markets.

Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $90,000.00–$130,000.00 Annually
