Job summary

Aalyria is seeking a Proposals Manager to own our proposal development for government and commercial opportunities. You will lead the full lifecycle from kickoff through submission, ensuring compliance matrices, high-quality content, SME coordination, and timely reviews.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience writing and managing proposals, deep knowledge of federal procurement (FAR), and the ability to translate technical detail into compelling narratives.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience writing and managing proposals.
• Strong understanding of federal procurement processes (FAR, solicitation types, compliance requirements).
• Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills, able to meet tight deadlines across multiple efforts.
• Able to translate complex technical content with SMEs into clear proposal narratives.
• Scrappy, startup-ready attitude with ability to wear multiple hats.
• Active U.S. security clearance required – Top Secret.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end proposal process for DoD, IC, civil and commercial opportunities from kickoff to submission.
• Develop schedules, compliance matrices, and outlines; ensure full compliance with solicitations.
• Write, edit, and coordinate proposal content with SMEs across engineering, product, and BD.
• Lead color team reviews and incorporate feedback into final submissions.
• Build and maintain reusable proposal content, past performance writeups, and boilerplate libraries.
• Track and report on proposal pipeline and win/loss outcomes.
• Support capture activities with competitive intel, teaming, and customer prep.
