Opportunity (Part-Time): Proposal ManagerBottom Line Up Front:The Hoplite Group, a Veteran Owned Small Business specializing in defense-oriented solutions, is currently recruiting for a part-time Proposal Manager. The ideal candidate will have impeccable writing skills and a proven track record in writing and generating new business with successful bids of U.S. Government contracts, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD).Location:RemoteAvailability:Immediate openingDuties Will Include, But Are Not Limited To:- Develop and manage proposal outlines/shells, compliance matrixes, and proposal schedules; lead or write sections as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Work with the capture team to develop and maintain a proposal content library and related documentation, including past performances and contract profiles.
- Manage proposal schedules, outlines, kickoffs, and reviews.
- Obtain feedback from customers for "lessons learned" to incorporate into future proposals.
- Related technical writing and business development tasks, as assigned.
- May require work outside normal business hours when bids are due.
- Expectation is to provide part-time support during agreed-upon schedule adjusted for bid support.
Required Qualifications/Skills:- Minimum BA/BS degree.
- 5+ years’ experience in federal government proposal management and writing for DoD (required); SOCOM experience is ideal but not required.
- Familiarity of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) system as it relates to government contracting and proposal management compliance.
- Proven track record of dissecting statement of work/request for proposal volumes and managing winning technical proposal efforts.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite and all proposal management publication tools.
- Proven record of strong writing and editing, with emphasis on compliance of technical proposals.
- Experience utilizing acquisition research systems, including but not limited to GovWin, GovTribe, FPDS, and sam.gov; preferred experience in researching existing contracts, upcoming opportunities, and potential partners.
- Knowledge and experience with capture and proposal management methodologies, such as Shipley model.
- Proven record of the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment as it relates to submission of request for proposal bids.
