Job description

Overview

Cordoba Corporation, a leading engineering firm with headquarters in Los Angeles, CA, is hiring a Proposal Manager to provide business development support across Cordoba’s four business sectors – energy, education/facilities, water, transportation. Members of the proposal team are self-starters who possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, creatively seek solutions for challenges, are team players ready to support one another, and have a vested interest in Cordoba’s success. You will work closely with our sectors by helping write, synthesize, organize, and curate sales messaging for business development activities and proposals.

Responsibilities

Lead the proposal development process, including:

  • Analyze RFP documents to understand client requirements and ensure proposal compliance.
  • Conduct kickoff meetings.
  • Develop proposal outlines and schedules.
  • Write, edit, and tailor non-technical proposal sections.
  • Coordinate graphic design support.
  • Coordinate proposal team activities.
  • Facilitate color reviews.
  • Lead and/or support the planning and development of presentations and interviews.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Marketing, or another related field or demonstrated equivalency.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to manage concurrent proposals/assignments.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications, particularly Word and InDesign.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work within stringent deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Proposal experience in engineering, architecture, environmental, and/or construction industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
  • Discipline to work in a remote work environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure dynamic environment.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000

Location: California

Work Environment: Remote in California

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
