Job summary

In this role, you will lead and manage the development of high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals in response to government and commercial Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, and other solicitation types.

You will oversee the entire proposal process, from initial analysis of requirements to final submission, ensuring alignment with North South

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Five years of experience in proposal management within the federal government contracting sector.
• APMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end proposal development, including requirements analysis, compliance matrices, outlines and schedules.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams of SMEs, writers and reviewers to develop proposals.
• Oversee content review and revisions for clarity, compliance and alignment with client requirements.
• Develop and maintain proposal schedules with milestones and deadlines; run status meetings.
• Conduct reviews for compliance, accuracy and quality; implement improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve proposal processes, tools and templates.
• Collaborate with business development, capture management and operations to develop win themes and discriminators.

North South Consulting Group, LLC is a full-service government contracting firm seeking an experienced Proposal Manager. In this role, you will lead and manage the development of high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals in response to government and commercial Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, and other solicitation types.
You will oversee the entire proposal process, from initial analysis of requirements to final submission, ensuring alignment with North South Consulting Group's strategic goals and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proposal Development: Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including analyzing Request for Proposal requirements, developing compliance matrices, and creating proposal outlines and schedules.
• Team Coordination: Assemble and manage cross-functional proposal teams, including subject matter experts, writers, and reviewers, to develop comprehensive and persuasive proposals.
• Content Management: Oversee the creation, review, and revision of proposal content to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with client requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Schedule Management: Develop and maintain proposal schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met, and facilitate regular proposal status meetings.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of proposal documents for compliance, accuracy, and quality, implementing necessary revisions to enhance proposal effectiveness.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve proposal processes, tools, and templates to increase efficiency and effectiveness in future proposal efforts.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business development, capture management, and operational teams to develop win strategies, themes, and discriminators that resonate with clients.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in proposal management within the federal government contracting sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Association of Proposal Management Professionals certification.

Skills:

• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management tools (e.g., SharePoint, GovWin).
• Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Understanding of federal procurement processes, regulations (e.g., Federal Acquisition Regulation / Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), and best practices in proposal development.
