Job summary

Street Level Strategy, a Pasadena-based public affairs firm, seeks a Proposal Specialist to create compelling proposals and manage end-to-end submissions from kickoff to final delivery.

You will collaborate with client teams, editors, and designers to craft persuasive content, win themes, and visuals, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality proposals that advance client engagements.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of proposal or grant writing experience.
• Led or played a central role coordinating with senior team members on projects.
• Knowledge of government or commercial proposal processes.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple pursuits.
• Attention to detail and structured project management.

Responsibilities

• Own the proposal schedule end to end with milestones and deadlines.
• Coordinate input from teaming partners and subcontractors to meet schedules.
• Build and maintain a compliance matrix for each submission with constraints.
• Develop win themes and executive summaries that position SLS capabilities.
• Synthesize complex policy input into coherent, readable narratives and visuals.
• Manage final package assembly and submission through portals.
• Drive continuous improvement of the proposal function and content library.
