Summary

The Proposal Engineer works under the guidance of a Senior Proposal Engineer and/or the Manager/Director of Sales. The Proposal Engineer is responsible for understanding the assembly process, developing tooling methodologies, automated solutions, transfer technology, systems integration, and CAD models related to the system. Additionally, the Proposal Engineer must understand and execute the technical solution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Collaborate with the Senior Proposal Engineer and/or Manager/Director of Sales to understand customer project scope and develop effective technical solutions.
• Progress through roles of increasing responsibility while enhancing skills via experience and training.
• Develop, evaluate, and compare technical studies.
• Create CAD renderings using Keyshot software for proposals and presentations.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment handling multiple assignments.
• Coordinate estimating efforts and ensure understanding of the complete project content (tooling, mechanical, automation, software, personnel, commissioning, FAT, SAT, etc.).
• Assist in developing comprehensive manufacturing concepts, including tooling, automation, and system integration.
• Collaborate with supplier partners.
• Understand project execution plans and equipment content.
• Perform cycle/takt time analysis.
• Coordinate with simulation teams for relevant studies.
• Request quotations from suppliers and internal sources for purchased items (tooling, mechanical, software, etc.).
• Engage with customer technical personnel and SMEs during the proposal process (reviews, clarifications, final presentation, etc.).
• This role may require international travel; candidates must have or be willing to obtain a passport.
• Follow safety and environmental regulations and identify related concerns.
• Adhere to the Quality System and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance as a key job function.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
