Job summary

Addison Group in Irwin, PA is seeking a Proposal Engineer for a contract-to-hire role in East Pittsburgh/Irwin. The position develops cost estimates and detailed proposals for capital equipment, tooling, and upgrades, coordinating with engineering, sales, and operations.

You will prepare technical and commercial proposals, support pre-sales activities, and ensure compliant, competitively priced bids, with benefits including medical/dental/vision and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience with CAD software (Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs from customers and collaborate to develop cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for equipment and upgrades.
• Support sales, engineering, service, and operations in proposals.
• Coordinate tooling build projects and aftermarket upgrade activities.
• Maintain documentation and ensure proposal records are managed.
• Provide engineering support during pre-sales and ensure quality standards.
