Job summary
Atlas Copco Compressors LLC in Houston, TX, seeks a Project Engineer to lead and support customer centers within Oil-free Air and Industrial Air Divisions. You will execute technical and commercial orders for engineered compressed air systems for oil & gas and petrochemical industries.
Reporting to the Application Engineering Manager, you will develop competitive quotations, analyze specs for compliance, and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver optimal solutions while upholding safety
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or 5+ years rotating equipment experience.
- Ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
- Experience with AutoCAD is beneficial.
- Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver competitive, technically sound quotations.
- Analyze customer specifications for compliance and identify exceptions.
- Support sales and Application Engineers by converting quotations into orders.
- Collaborate to tailor technical solutions that meet client needs.
- Quote sub-supplied equipment exceeding 10% of the bid.
- Coordinate with Engineered Solutions teams to maximize gross profit.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and SafeStart safety training.
- Promote Safety First and sustainability goals.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
