ELM MicroGrid is seeking a Proposal Development Specialist to support the Sales team in preparing and submitting customer proposals, RFPs, bids, and questionnaires. • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in proposal development, RFP coordination, sales support, business development support, or related role.
• Strong written communication, editing, and proofreading with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate information and collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and organize complex information into clear documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while aligning with team priorities.

Role Description : The Proposal Development Specialist supports the Sales team in preparing, coordinating, and submitting customer proposals, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bids, and customer questionnaires. This position works collaboratively with Sales and cross-functional teams to gather information, develop proposal content, track deadlines, and ensure submissions are accurate, complete, and aligned with customer requirements. The role also supports continuous improvement of proposal processes and maintains resources to improve efficiency and consistency.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in proposal development, RFP coordination, sales support, business development support, or a related role.
• Strong written communication, editing, and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate information and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements, follow detailed instructions, and organize complex information into clear, professional documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with team priorities.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance-based bonus program tied to successful Request for Proposal (RFP) awards.
