Job summary

Sandpiper Hospitality in Lakeland is seeking a part-time Houseperson to support light maintenance and core housekeeping tasks. You will prepare rooms after guest move-outs, inspect for pests or issues, and help maintain public areas to brand standards.

The role emphasizes preventive upkeep and facility cleanliness. You will operate light equipment such as pressure washers and vacuums, assist with laundry, and be available for on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of light maintenance and housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and painting.

Responsibilities

• Light & Preventive Maintenance across the facility interior and exterior.
• Light Plumbing tasks such as unclogging sinks and toilets.
• Light Electrical tasks including replacing outlets or bulbs.
• Studio Maintenance and painting, caulking, pest issue identification.
• General Upkeep including carpet shampooing and janitorial work.
• Room Preparation & Inspection after guest move-outs according to standards.
• Cleaning & Staging of public areas and guest rooms per brand standards.
• Waste removal and stain treatment of linens before disposal.
