Job summary

Sandpiper Hospitality in Rochester, NY is seeking a Houseperson (H) to handle light maintenance, room preparation after guest move-outs, and overall facility upkeep. This hands-on role combines maintenance and housekeeping duties to meet brand standards.

You will operate light equipment, perform preventive maintenance, assist with laundry, and respond to emergencies as part of the housekeeping team. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of light maintenance and housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic maintenance knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and painting.

Responsibilities

• Light and preventive maintenance across interior and exterior areas.
• Room turnover and proper preparation after guest move-outs.
• Clean daily public areas and stage guest rooms per brand standards.
• Assist with laundry duties and general cleaning tasks.
• Respond to emergencies and be available for on-call coverage.
