Job summary

Sandpiper Hospitality in London, KY is seeking a Houseperson (H) to perform light maintenance and housekeeping duties, including room turnover and facility upkeep. You will support the housekeeping team, handle basic repairs, and ensure brand standards are met.

The role requires basic maintenance knowledge and at least a high school diploma, with 1–2 years of related experience preferred. This position is on-site and offers hourly pay with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience (Preferred): 1-2 years of light maintenance and housekeeping work as described above.
• Knowledge: Basic maintenance knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, and Painting.

Responsibilities

• Light & preventive maintenance across interior and exterior of facility.
• Light plumbing tasks such as plunging or snaking toilets and unclogging sinks.
• Light electrical tasks including changing outlets, switches, and bulbs.
• Studio maintenance: painting, caulking, pest issue identification.
• General upkeep: shampooing carpet, janitorial work, parking lot upkeep.
• Room preparation and inspection after guest move-outs per brand standards.
• Cleaning and staging: clean daily public areas and stage guest room furniture and in-room supplies.
• Waste and linens: remove trash and complete stain treatment of soiled linens.
