Job summary

Everest Insurance Company in Warren, NJ is seeking an Underwriting Assistant II to join our U.S. Wholesale Property Operations team.

The role provides operational and technical support across the commercial property policy lifecycle, from submission intake through policy issuance and midterm servicing. You will manage assigned transactions, coordinate with underwriters and partners, and ensure accurate processing while meeting service commitments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance operations.
• Experience supporting commercial property or E&S preferred.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of policy structure and underwriting-support processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel; intermediate data skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and service new-business submissions, renewals, bind requests, policy issuance activities, endorsements, cancellations, and midterm transactions.
• Perform rating, binder preparation, policy booking, policy document review, issuance, and file maintenance.
• Confirm underwriting instructions are documented before completing activities; escape incomplete instructions.
• Gather and track underwriting information; prioritize work and drive timely resolution.
• Manage an assigned portfolio from intake through completion while balancing priorities.
