Job summary

AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Underwriter, Property Underwriting to provide technical support to the assigned underwriters. You will help with processing, invoicing, and ensuring timely service for Members-Policyholders and brokers.

The position requires at least 1 year of insurance experience, an undergraduate degree or equivalent, and proficiency with Word and Excel. A hybrid work schedule is available with a starting salary between $60,000 and $65,000, plus incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of business experience, preferably in an insurance company or broker environment.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience; business-related degree a plus.
• Professional insurance designation a plus.
• Working knowledge of insurance terms, concepts, products, and coverages desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Underwriting Division by monitoring and managing workload with status reports.
• Ensure submissions are set up with accurate Member-Policyholder and Broker information.
• Enter submission information into the Underwriting System to create preliminary quotes.
