Job summary

SWE Homes, LP, is seeking a Property Tax Protest Analyst to join its year‑round Property Tax Department. Based in Texas, you’ll collaborate to review assessments, identify appeal opportunities, and manage protests for SWE and its customers across the state.

You will prepare and submit appeals, track deadlines, negotiations with county appraisers, and stay current on tax laws. Strong communication, organization, and reliability are essential to succeed in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 4 years’ property valuation experience.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Able to type 45 wpm.
• Experience with Chain of Title and title issues.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• High school diploma with some college education.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with associates to review property tax assessments and identify appeal opportunities.
• Prepare and submit property tax appeals based on research and strategy.
• Manage communications and notices from taxing authorities.
• Track protest deadlines, hearing dates, settlements, and estimated savings.
• Stay updated on property tax laws across jurisdictions.
• Negotiate value settlements with county and out-of-state assessors.
• Organize files for newly acquired properties.
• Act as liaison between team and county/taxing officials.
• Support portfolio analysis, reporting, and special projects.
• Assist in processing property tax bills when received.
