SWE Homes is seeking a Property Tax Protest Analyst to join our Houston-based Property Tax Department. You will review assessments, identify appeal opportunities, prepare and submit protests, and coordinate with taxing authorities and internal teams.

The role emphasizes tracking deadlines, staying updated on tax laws, and liaising with county appraisers. Strong MS Office skills and 4 years of valuation experience are required.

Qualifications

• 4 years’ experience of property valuation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to type 45wpm.
• Experience with Chain of Title and Title Issues.
• Proactively upholds follow-up procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to review property tax assessments and identify appeal opportunities.
• Prepare and submit property tax appeals based on research, analysis, and strategy.
• Manage communications and notices from taxing authorities.
• Track protest deadlines, hearing dates, settlements, and final values.
