DMA - DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. is seeking an entry-level tax professional to support the tax managers in the property tax assessment review process and client deliverables.

The role offers exposure to hearings with state and local taxing authorities and opportunities to contribute to Letters of Findings. The ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, demonstrates strong communication, organizational and research skills, and can multi-task in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational, research and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for Tax Managers and Directors in the property tax assessment review process, including preparation of deliverables to support management during appeals and hearings with state and local taxing authorities.
• Prepares reports and analysis supporting DMA’s position for state and local taxing authorities; reviews and submits periodic client status reports to management; prepares Letters of Findings for clients.
• Assists Tax Managers, Directors and other business development professionals in scoping and developing customized solutions for new and prospective clients.
• Follows industry market activity and economic trends.
• Researches state and local tax issues.
• Participates in business development initiatives and research.
