Job summary

DMA is seeking a tax assistant to support the personal property compliance process by preparing returns, communicating with jurisdictions, and handling payments for existing clients. You will contribute to high-volume, accurate tax work in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

The role emphasizes timely processing, problem solving, and strong written/verbal communication, with opportunities to grow in a supportive, on-site team at DMA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to complete high volume work in a timely and highly accurate manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn tax compliance software quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with jurisdictional tax notices and tax bills for assigned clients.
• Assist with tax bill processing, funding request processing, and payment.
• Assist with property tax data analysis and return preparation for assigned clients.
• Respond to client and jurisdictional inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
