Job summary

DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. is seeking an undergraduate student in Accounting/Finance/ Economics or related fields to join our tax services team. You will support property tax assessment processes and prepare client deliverables under supervision, with on-the-job training provided from day one.

You will also help in scoping solutions for new clients and staying current on tax trends. This employee-owned firm values work-life balance, offers ESOP eligibility, a generous time-off

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational, research and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for Tax Managers and Directors in the property tax assessment review process, including preparation of deliverables to support management during appeals and hearings with state and local taxing authorities
• Prepares reports and analysis supporting DMA's position for state and local taxing authorities; reviews and submits periodic client status reports to management; prepares Letters of Findings for clients
• Assists Tax Managers, Directors and other business development professionals in scoping and developing customized solutions for new and prospective clients
• Follows industry market activity and economic trends
• Researches state and local tax issues
• Participates in business development initiatives and research
• Performs other duties as assigned
