Job summary

Vistra Corporate Services Company in Irving, TX is seeking a Property Tax Specialist to own the property tax function from forecast to accruals. The role interfaces with development, FP&A, real estate, and accounting teams to optimize tax outcomes.

The candidate will bring 3–5 years of property tax experience, with a degree in accounting/finance and CPA/CMI preferred. This hybrid role supports multiple jurisdictions and emphasizes compliance, forecasting, and cost containment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of property tax experience; Big 4 background preferred.
• CPA, CMI, or similar certification preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and property tax requirements for public companies.
• Experience managing outside tax providers and strong analytical, modeling, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the LRP property tax forecast and communicate key assumptions to upper management.
• Manage payment funding approvals and information requests across departments and jurisdictions.
• Support protest and appeal processes with outside consultants and counsel.
• Review property tax forecast models for appropriate assumptions for the development team.
• Analyze financial statements as they relate to tax compliance and planning.
