Job summary

US Lawns is seeking an employee to gather data and make determinations on base year value and conduct specialized assessments for Cumberland County properties. You will perform inspections, update the CAMA system, and review deeds and ownership changes.

The role requires PA real estate/tax knowledge, CPE certification or plan to obtain it, and a valid PA driver’s license. You will interact with the Board of Assessment Appeals and handle property tax data integrity daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency, plus some training in real estate/appraisal or property taxes and some computer training required.
• Certified Pennsylvania Evaluation (CPE) certification preferred or must initiate the testing within 2 years of employment.
• Valid PA driver’s license required.
• Use of personal car is required; mileage is reimbursed according to IRS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts on site property inspections of residential, commercial, industrial, exempt construction and improvements.
• Review deed outliers and update the CAMA system with new data.
• Appraise properties at base year value and record ownership changes.
• Conduct annual inspections and process deeds and address changes into CAMA.
• Represent the Assessment office before the Board of Assessment Appeals.
• Analyze sales and market data and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
