The City of Altoona is seeking a Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector to enforce city codes and promote blight reduction while respecting property owners and tenants. The role involves indoor and outdoor investigations, property inspections for violations, and issuing notices to comply.

Certification under the IPMC is preferred and must be earned within six months of appointment. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalency and a valid state driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct indoor and outdoor field investigations to identify violations.
• Inspect properties for violations and post notices as required.
• Issue and post warning notices, notices of violations, corrective notices, and orders to comply.
• Support City regulations and ordinances through field and office work.
