Job summary

Tech(x) is hiring a Property Specialist in Aberdeen, MD, full-time. The role focuses on end-to-end DoD procurement, government invoicing, and IT hardware/software acquisitions with strict compliance and real-time coordination.

The candidate should have DoD contracting familiarity, CHESS experience, and strong MS Office skills; a Bachelor's degree with 7–10 years in a related field is expected. Monday–Friday schedule, potential travel.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of CHESS procurement processes and vendor quoting.
  • Experience coordinating with Government customers, engineers, vendors, and internal procurement teams.
  • Experience reconciling P-Card transactions and supporting invoice processing.
  • Ability to review vendor invoices, validate deliverables, and prepare DD250 documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to track multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, real-time operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs customer support functions to support total customer requirements for logistics.
  • Interfaces with government customers' Engineering team, commercial vendors and procurement.
  • Coordinates orders for equipment and IT licenses and software.
  • Requests quotes through CHESS vendors for Government client.
  • Acts as primary contact for resolving discrepancies between vendors and Government clients.
  • Monitors and tracks status of requisitions through Government Teams site.
  • Reconciles P-Card orders and completes DD250s for orders delivered.
  • Compiles backup for the monthly DFAS invoice.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Procurement Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support customer functions, in a real time configuration.

This role focuses client needs and requires an in-depth understanding of the procurement cycle in the DOW industry. The ideal candidate is experienced in end-to-end acquisition and purchasing activities across the entire procurement lifecycle, from requirements planning and market research.

Responsibilities

  • Performs customer support functions, those processes used to support the total requirement of customers to gain logistics support in both combat and peacetime situations.
  • Interfaces and coordinates with the government customer’s Engineering team, commercial vendors and the company’s procurement team.
  • Coordinates orders, for equipment and/or IT licenses and software.
  • Request quotes through CHESS vendors for Government client.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for resolving discrepancies between vendors and Government clients.
  • Monitors and tracks status/progress of assigned requisitions, through the Government Teams
  • site.
  • Reconcile P-Card orders through the company’s system for credit card purchases.
  • Review and approve invoices submitted by the vendor and c ompletes DD250’s for all orders delivered.
  • Compile backup for the monthly DFAS invoice.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Department of Defense (DoD) contracting or logistics environments.
  • Familiarity with DFAS invoicing and Government billing processes.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS fundamentals.
  • Experience supporting IT hardware, software, and licensing procurements.
  • Prior experience supporting sustainment, logistics, or engineering organizations.
  • Financial analyst experience and or understanding.

Clearance:

  • DoD secret level clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Education & Experience:

  • 7-10 years of DOW experience in a procurement type of position on a DOW contract.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field.
  • 4 years of direct experience can be substituted for a degree.

Location:

  • Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule flexing is available with the PM’s approval.

Travel:

Only upon need.

  • Able to stand or sit for long periods of time
