Job summary

Village Realty is seeking Seasonal Property Service Runner positions to support maintenance and housekeeping across multiple Outer Banks properties. Responsibilities include repairs, deliveries, and prep work to ensure guest-ready units.

Must be reliable, organized, and capable of handling physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. Positions require a valid driver’s license, ability to travel between properties, and flexibility to work weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance technicians with routine property repairs (light bulb replacements, filter changes, minor plumbing, painting).
• Conduct basic inspections and report issues to the maintenance supervisor.
• Ensure maintenance storage areas and vehicles are stocked, clean and organized.
• Provide access to units/facilities for contractors or service providers.
• Perform basic cleaning or trash-out tasks in vacant units or common areas.
• Maintain logs of daily activities, mileage, and inventory.
• Respond promptly to staff and resident service requests.

The Property Service Runner positions represent multiple roles supporting the property maintenance and housekeeping teams within the Services Department. Maintenance support includes performing basic repairs, delivering parts and supplies, and assisting with day-to-day maintenance operations across multiple properties. Housekeeping support services support includes preparing homes for the guest experience and supporting our cleaners in the field. These roles require reliability, organization, and a strong work ethic, as they involves a mix of hands-on tasks and logistical support.

Seasonal Position

Maintenance Runner Support includes

• Assist maintenance technicians with routine property repairs such as light bulb replacements, filter changes, minor plumbing, and painting.
• Conduct basic inspections and report issues to the maintenance supervisor.
• Ensure maintenance storage areas and vehicles are stocked, clean, and organized.
• Provide access to units or facilities for contractors or service providers as needed.
• Perform basic cleaning or trash-out tasks in vacant units or common areas.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, mileage, and inventory as directed.
• Respond promptly and courteously to staff and resident service requests when required.

• Linen deliveries to in-house guests and/or cleaners
• Property Inspections
• Bed making assistance
• Warehouse assistance- stocking cleaning supplies, pulling linens for cleaners, preparing amenity bags, and organizing.
• Supply deliveries like coffee makers, remote controls, and amenities to homes in our program.
• Touch up cleaning and prepping properties for guest arrivals.
• Resolving guest cleanliness issues and other service recovery tasks.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to travel between multiple properties throughout the day
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, walking, climbing stairs)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with team members, vendors, and residents/guests
• Comfortable using basic tools and equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts if needed
