Essential Job Functions | The University Police Department's mission is to provide a safe working, living, and learning environment, through a community-oriented policing philosophy that emphasizes crime prevention and solving crime through partnerships, education and awareness programs, pro-active patrolling and quality officer training. The department provides general and emergency police services, and enforces state laws and university policies on campus 24-7. Property Security Officers provide professional and courteous security across campus by protecting university property and reporting violations of university policies to the security supervisor and the police supervisor on duty.
